Hi, just checking out Soulfly_SV, and have come across an annoying problem.

I am ownered in a room, and keep getting a message like this:
* /hsave: unable to open file 'C:\Documents and Settings.....\lists\axis\**~roomname~**_av.txt' (line 587, sfb_sv.ini)

The reason being that windows won't save any roomname which has special/illegal characters within it

Is there a way where the roomnames can be decoded down to where there are no special/illegal characters that Windows refuses to save?

I can make sure * is removed. Thank you for letting me know.

Find the hcd alias in sfb_sv.ini and remove * in both places.

Thanks for the quick reply  :D

Tried the code you gave me, and it gave me an unmatched bracket error. Was a bit tired at the time and couldn't work out where the unmatched brackets were.
However, was able to do a hybrid between the old code and the new one you gave me and now it works perfectly.

(just added "*," to the code to get rid of the * :))

Yeah that's all it does. I wrote this alias back at msn to clean up room names for saving text files or writing to a hash table for switches.

Somehow this forum software screws up the code ... but what you did was right, just make sure you remove * in the if and else part. (two places)
